The Government of Punjab, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has launched an ambitious and student-friendly initiative known as the Punjab Bike Scheme 2025. The goal of this project is to empower students by providing them with environmentally friendly and cost-effective transportation options. What is the Punjab Bike Scheme 2025?

Number of Bikes and Distribution
During the first part of the event, we will give away 27,200 motorcycles:
- 1,000 Electric Bikes
- 19,000 Petrol Bikes
To ensure gender equality and regional fairness, we have allocated a specific quota for these bikes:
- 70% of the bikes are reserved for students from urban areas
- 30% are allocated for rural students
- A dedicated quota is also fixed for female students, with electric bikes being prioritized for them
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scheme, students must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- You have to be a student at a college or university that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognizes.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or a learner’s permit
- Must be a resident of Punjab

Installment Plan—Budget-Friendly for Students
One of the most attractive features of the scheme is its interest-free monthly installment plan. The Punjab government has agreed to cover both the down payment (partial) and markup, significantly reducing the financial burden on students.
- For Male Students: Monthly payment of Rs. 11,676
- For Female Students: Monthly payment of Rs. 7,325
Additionally, Rs. 20,000 of the initial down payment is contributed by the government, making the bikes even more accessible.
Special Focus on Girls and Needy Students
CM Maryam Nawaz has ensured that female students receive special attention under this scheme. We will provide electric bikes to all female applicants to encourage environmental sustainability and promote girls’ education.
The government has also announced that 10,000 deserving students, including orphans and Zakat-eligible individuals, will receive free electric bikes, creating a massive opportunity for underprivileged students to improve their lives.

Getting an application is easy, and the whole process happens online.

- Upload necessary documents, including a CNIC, student ID card, and driving license
- Submit the form and wait for confirmation via SMS
- We will use an e-balloting system to ensure transparency if the number of applications exceeds the available bikes.

In response to the overwhelming demand and success of the first phase, the Punjab government has announced a new plan to distribute an additional 10,000 electric bikes—completely free—to students who meet the merit- and need-based criteria. This extension highlights the government’s strong commitment to educational and transport support.
